After a great week of teaching, learning, sharing, and birthdays (Happy Birthday Annika!!) we are finally celebrating to closing ceremony for our China exchange, and will be enjoying our last dinner as a group tonight. The closing ceremony will entail games, awards, moments of sharing from students, faculty and administration, bookending our China trip.
All travel experiences are pilgrimages of a sort in which we learn about more about ourselves than we expect. I am sure that all of us (myself included) will bring home a great deal of knowledge and experience from China, I know much of which has informed the way we perceive ourselves. Now where do we go from here? We take what we learned and use it to enhance our life and other lives. It is up to us to make this second part a reality, and I am hopeful to see the way in which the lives of our students have been changed.
